FAS mockup

I played around with FAS today while associating my FPO OpenID with my new identi.ca (FOSS web micro-blogging service; it’s like twitter but Free) and noticed (again) that it uses an old visual design. I played around for a while making a mockup of how it could be revamped to match the rest of the FPO visual identity. What do you think?
(Note: the highlighted tab on the left should be ‘Home’, not ‘My Account’. Doh!)

1. Nice
Yup, good idea.

Oh, I signed up to identi.ca too, though who knows if it's just the fad du jour or will be the next "twitter". The CC aspect is good though, hopefully it'll push twitter to think about that.

Great design.
I especially like the large bannering of the specific site ("ACCOUNTS"). Oh yeah, and: <a href="http://whoisi.com/p/110.” target=”_blank”>http://whoisi.com/p/110.

I won't use whoisi.com until (unless?) it becomes free & open source.

4. Can the strip along the top be used to signify the login status, and let you login/logout etc.?
Example:
<img src="http://imagebin.ca.tbcdn.com/img/MimK4iRg.png" width="802" height="198">
The idea is that it would appear on all fedoraproject properties, providing a consistent interface to log in. 'Account' would link to the FAS page, allowing password change etc., and ideally sign-up for new users.
Here's a bug which tracs this:
<a href="https://fedorahosted.org/fedora-infrastructure/ticket/504” target=”_blank”>https://fedorahosted.org/fedora-infrastructure/ticket/504
And here is a related bug, which this would half solve, and provides some motivation why this change should be made:
<a href="https://fedorahosted.org/fedora-infrastructure/ticket/503” target=”_blank”>https://fedorahosted.org/fedora-infrastructure/ticket/503
Thanks.

1. Hey, I like it! I might tweak the graphics a bit but I think it's a great idea! Thanks 🙂
