We’ve [1] been working on a set of one-page release notes for Fedora 12, and now that those are set I took some time today to put them into a single PDF file. However, there are 3 pages…! So, for your event, you might like to print out two sets of release notes: Page 1 + Page 2 for desktop users, and Page 1 + Page 3 for system administrators and developers. Then allow folks to pick up either or both depending on their interest. Or, you can simply print out all three as one packet. Whatever you like. 🙂
[1] According to Fedora’s wiki history, the following people contributed to the page: Paul Frields, Máirín Duffy, Mel Chua, Nicu Buculei, Steven Moix, Sakis Asamaras, Charley Wang. In addition to those folks, David Aquilina provided a photo, and Caius Chance volunteered to model for another photo. Eric Sparks and the Fedora Documentation team came up with the concept. Thanks everyone!

Is it too late for corrections? If not, in the middle of the "desktop" page, in the PackageKit section, it says "through ts subtle but effective alert system", which should be ""through its" …
Dear Máirín,
is it allowed to translate these flyers and to distribute them?
Under which license are they released?
Best Regards
Marcus
Of course is allowed to translate it. I am planning to to that, still not sure if only for the web page or also the PDF.
Looks awesome! I just stop a tiny typo: in the first page, there's an extra dot after the interrogation mark "Want to give Fedora 12 a try?." 😉
Great, I love it and I think this is 10times better then the release notes for regular users. I have just one question:
What is this cool image which is the background to the screenshot on the first page. 🙂
Hey! That background is one of the drafts that we created for the F12 wallpaper but decided not to go with. It's available here:
http://mairin.wordpress.com/2009/10/24/f12-wallpa…
(It's "Splash 2" on that page)
typo in PackageKit notes — "its" not "ts"
-apw
This is awesome!
MO, YOU ROCK MY WORLD. This is a million times better than I ever imagined it. A big thank you also to Eric (Sparks) and the Docs team, who were the originators of the one-page release notes idea – I definitely think this is something we should keep doing. 🙂
Marcus, please do remix/translate/share this! Mo sent the source URL (inkscape svg) to the Marketing mailing list – it's at http://duffy.fedorapeople.org/collateral/release%…. The content came from https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/One_page_release_n… so it's licensed under the same license as everything else on the Fedora wiki, which is CC-BY-SA (3.0 unported).
Actually, the licensing might be something we'd want to put on the pdf as well. Hrm. I… have a bad eye for graphic design, but one of my cousins here in Manila is a designer and has asked me to teach her Inkscape, so it's possible that if our powers combine tomorrow… we'll see.

@Mel Chua, thanks for the clarification.
Máirín, could you perhaps provide the source of the 'Screenshot' Image as we are planning a KDE Version of the Release Notes, too.
Best Regards
Marcus
Looks really nice! Thanks a lot for putting this together.
