It's 'T' Time!

Max started the conversation, and Nicu set up a wiki page for us to organize our ideas and designs for various Fedora T-shirts. The major shirt designs under discussion are:

  • General-purpose “Fedora” T-shirt
  • FUDCon Boston 2008 T-shirt
  • Fedora @ LinuxTag Berlin T-shirt
  • (maybe) Fedora 9 Theme T-shirt

One of Nicu’s general Fedora T designs:

If you have any ideas or would like to build on ours you are welcome to and encouraged!!! The two designs I came up for Boston I think are pretty lame conceptually; they just center around the Boston skyline, I am sure there are folks out there with better ideas and I would love to sketch them out if you share 🙂

    same for gnome…
there's been a similar discussion on gnome's marketing mailing list in the last week about having gnome shirts. i wonder if some knowledge could be transferred from both "parties".

  2. [1] We need to have designs for women and/or small sizes [2] Keeping white/black and another color would help save on costs [3] printing on the front would be preferred from a cost perspective.
I kind of like the Boston skyline one (even if it looks lame to you) 🙂

  3. I like the front design for the first one, but my personal thinking on shirts always ends up leaning towards the subtlety of the fudcon shirt (ie, small logo on the front and the larger graphic on the back)
As for the FUDCon shirt, it might be worth talking to the Summit folks and piggy-backing somehow on that design. Just to tie it together a little

Looks good. Do we really need the full URL on the back?
"fedoraproject.org" looks a lot better than
    "http://fedoraproject.org/"
I try to minimize the number of "http://"-es in my wardrobe.

    Buy?
Hi everyone, I like so much the design of this t-shirt. The black once is my preferred, but….where I can buy it? There's any online shop that can ship it in italy? thanks and congrats for your works!!!

    Tea Party Idea
The tea party shirt might be cool if you integrated the fedora "f" into the beginning of "freedom fighter" somehow for the front. Maybe stylize "fighter" like the old school "Street Fighter" videogame?
After posting the idea in the wrong (doh) thread I thought the above idea would bring it all together.
